“Lucky” nestles cuddly in the arms of a caretaker at the Veterinary Medical Center (TMZT) in Teesdorf in the Baden district and purrs comfortably. The kitten can do this again thanks to an attentive passer-by.
Run over by car
He found the young cat as a whimpering bundle of fur on a country road just before he entered town, took pity on him, and immediately brought him to TMZT. “Initial examination revealed severe injuries that were likely from a vehicle,” says General Manager Marcus Serringer.
Save emergency control
Emergency surgery was performed to reassemble the cat’s shattered jaw. “Lucky,” as the four-legged accident victim was nicknamed, is currently on a specially prepared liquid diet. “It will probably take a few weeks for the fracture to heal,” is the vet’s prognosis.
