On Wednesday around 19:45 there was a police action in an apartment in Vienna-Liesing: a 62-year-old mother was threatened with a knife by her son (43). He also allegedly announced that he would kill her. The woman alerted the police.
With the support of WEGA, the emergency services went to the crime scene in Liesing on Wednesday. The 43-year-old was suspected of threatening his mother, who managed to escape from their shared apartment.
Knife aimed at himself
“The electric impulse weapon ‘Taser’ was used during the arrest because the 43-year-old was behaving aggressively and had a knife in his hands, which he pointed at himself,” police spokesman Markus Dittrich said on Thursday.
The man has now been given an entry and approach ban, as well as a temporary weapons ban.
