Vehicle swept away by mud, showers, floods, road closures: Carinthia’s fire brigade is struggling with the consequential damage from last night’s storm.
“The weather has left a trail of destruction! Several cellars are flooded, streams are overflowing their banks, trees are blocking the road and the Carinthia fire brigade is still busy fighting floods,” the state emergency and warning center describes the busy night. And volunteer fire brigades are still busy fighting the storm damage. The Görtschitz and Lavant valleys and the St. Veit area were particularly affected.
