Samsung recently unveiled not only the sixth generation of its foldable smartphones, but also the third of its true wireless headphones, the Galaxy Buds. And with them come some big design changes – much like Apple’s Airpods, which Samsung has equipped with an LED light strip. It seems odd, but there are “use cases.”
Samsung has already tried out a number of form factors for its true wireless headphones: a stemless in-ear button, an unconventional ‘bean look’, everything was there. With the now unveiled third generation, the previous designs are thrown overboard and are very conventional – in the white version you could mistake them for the in-ears of another popular provider from a distance. But there are differences, such as an unusual squeeze control and an optionally switchable LED light strip – but these also have their drawbacks.
