Police looking for witnesses – arsonists set fire to piles of wood near residential building

After a pile of wood caught fire next to a house in Nassereith in the Tyrolean district of Imst on Sunday evening, it is now clear that the fire was lit. The police are asking for information.

Police officers determined the cause of the fire in the woodpile on Sunday. In the fire waste and around the fire, the researchers found the remains of grill lighters and the remains of kitchen rolls with burn marks. “Due to the circumstances, it can be assumed that a previously unknown assailant placed or set fire to barbecue lighters in the woodpile,” the fire investigators concluded.

No one got hurt
The arsonists set fire to a pile of wood next to a residential building in Nassereith on Sunday evening. The fire service was able to quickly extinguish the fire. No one was injured in the incident.

Police are now looking for the unknown arsonists and are asking for information from witnesses who saw anything that could be related to the crime in the St. Wendelin area between 1am and 3am on Sunday.
