“Do you want to buy?” – a thief tried to sell his loot in the Innviertel in a very clumsy way. But when he was rejected, he went crazy and gave himself away. Fortunately for some victims. Because that way they got their stolen property back.
A 44-year-old homeless Hungarian wanted to sell stolen goods in the city of Braunau. During a failed sales conversation with a passer-by, he slightly injured the alleged buyer and threatened to kill him.
Quickly caught
Subsequently, the police were able to arrest the suspect with the stolen goods. In the course of further investigation, several stolen goods were found and seized in the 44-year-old’s hotel room, which in turn helped to clarify another theft committed by the Hungarian. In total, it can be proven that the 44-year-old committed three cases of property damage, three (sneak-in) thefts, one case of burglary and one case of document suppression in the period from May 3, 2024 to May 10, 2024.
Victims located
The officers were able to return several stolen goods to the victims. But many things still have no rightful owner. The suspect was transferred to Ried Prison.
