There was great excitement recently when the so-called traveling people settled in Dobl near Graz, including threats and destruction. Now the caravan line is standing in front of a Hartberg shopping center. The tension is high again.
Next stop: Hartberg. After Dobl, representatives of the Roma and Sinti settled in Hartberg, parking their caravans in a meadow in front of a shopping center.
“It cannot be that this illegal camping ultimately besieges and possibly even damages a business location. The actions of these groups must be stopped quickly with concrete legal steps,” says Luca Geistler, district party leader of the FPÖ Hartberg-Fürstenfeld.
Campsite closed
City boss Marcus Martschitsch (ÖVP) is also not exactly happy with the new guests: “In the past, the visit to the campsite was only moderate. “This year too, the group is larger than normal.”
Since the campsite is currently unusable, there was a need for alternative accommodation. And according to information from the state police, the owners of the shopping center have given permission to leave the caravans there until Sunday. In any case, no reports have been received yet.
