Knife attack in Vienna-Favoriten: During a walk late Wednesday evening, a passer-by discovered an injured man (37) on a bench in the park. The 37-year-old had previously been attacked with a knife. The police are looking for the unknown perpetrator.
At around 11:30 p.m., the pedestrian called the police emergency number. However, the officers were unable to question the man about the incident at the scene because he does not speak German.
An argument was followed by a knife attack
The victim was treated by professional ambulance personnel and taken to a hospital. “According to another witness, the suspect attacked the 37-year-old after an argument and then fled in an unknown direction,” said police spokeswoman Julia Schick.
An immediate search for the man was negative. Police are also asking for any relevant information from the public.
