Sweet dreams can shatter — and end up in court. Especially when it comes to an actually nice gesture at the restaurant of the same name in Vienna, for which almost a murder took place.
An Albanian (39) sits before a jury and judge Ulrich Nachtlberger in the Vienna court for almost cutting a rival’s neck with a box cutter. According to forensic pathologist Elisabeth Friedrich, the 44-year-old Serb’s survival was due to “good luck”. The gaping wound, 20 centimeters long, “only” affected muscle and tissue and not the main artery.
Drink invitation as a reason
The reason was an invitation from the Serb to a woman for a drink. His opponent did not like that, they called each other unkind things, then they wanted to continue the fight in the street. The trial was adjourned because the victim had not appeared.
