In St. Petersburg, unknown people damaged the statue of the late mercenary Yevgeny Prigozhin, including placing a dildo in her hand, as a photo on Platform X shows.
There is also white paint on the chest and face of the statue. Unknown people are said to be behind the action. The monument to Prigozhin was unveiled in St. Petersburg only three weeks ago. Behind the statue you can see a memorial plaque with the life details of the leader of the Russian private army group Wagner.

The reactions to the Platform X recording have been mostly positive. One user noted that Prigozhin would look much better now. Another said “beautiful artwork” and that it looked like SpongeBob SquarePants was at the party. Russians build monuments to idiots all the time, wrote another.
Former Putin friend
Prigozhin met future Russian President Vladimir Putin as a chef in the 1990s. Since 2014, he has headed the private army group Wagner, which operates in several African countries and eventually took part in the attack on Ukraine. However, Prigozhin has been outspoken in his criticism of the way the war was conducted; his own army has been and is accused of numerous war crimes.
He clashed with the Russian Ministry of Defense and called for an uprising on June 23, 2023. His troops marched under him toward Moscow, took over military facilities without a fight, but broke off the uprising the next day after negotiations.
Two months later, Prigozhin, military leader Dmitry Utkin and other members of the Wagner group were killed in a plane crash in central Russia. The circumstances remain unclear to this day. Previously, Prigozhin was suspected of being in Belarus.
