The police in Lavanttal (Carinthia) were able to investigate a young arsonist: the 14-year-old had set several waste containers on fire in April and May. She was supported by two other youngsters (15 and 16 years old). The fires were filmed and photographed by the young people themselves.
The youngster struck for the first time on the afternoon of April 22 in Wolfsberg: at that moment a waste paper container completely burned down. The St. Marein and St. Michael fire brigades were deployed to extinguish the fire. Then, on May 3 and 4, the following acts were committed by the young arsonists: Waste paper containers were set on fire again.

After extensive investigation, the police tracked down the 14-year-old from St. Stefan im Lavanttal. The youths had even photographed and filmed their actions. During the interrogations, the girl fully confessed.
Material damage: 10,000 euros
The investigating officers were able to track down two accomplices – a girl (15) and a boy (16). The three young people are reported to the Klagenfurt prosecutor’s office. The material damage incurred amounts to more than 10,000 euros.
