Over the weekend, investigators from the Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department arrested two suspects wanted on warrants and took each of them to a prison for surrender. Accordingly, a 39-year-old woman wanted in her native Slovakia was taken out of circulation in Hernals on Saturday, and a 21-year-old Romanian was taken out of circulation the following day in Brigittenau.
According to police, the Romanian was arrested on Monday by investigators from the Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department in cooperation with the Federal Criminal Police. He is suspected of committing an excessive kidnapping in Moldova in 2018. The Vienna Emergency Task Force (WEGA) supported the investigators in the arrest and transfer to prison.
