On Monday, a man was arrested in Vorarlberg who had just been released from Feldkirch prison. The reason for the new arrest was not insignificant: he threatened a man with a pocket knife.
The freedom did not last long: on Monday afternoon at around 5 p.m., the police were called to the Götzis train station. There, the officers arrested a 32-year-old who had previously gotten into a fight with another man at the Rankweil train station.
During the altercation, the 32-year-old said he would kill his opponent. He also pulled out a pocket knife and pressed it against his victim’s hand, slightly injuring him. It went on to involve the thug twisting the man’s thumb and punching him in the face.
This scene was followed by further expressions of aggression, but only of a verbal nature. Finally, they both boarded the train. There, a passenger notified the police. It turned out that the suspect had just been released from Feldkirch prison. After the investigation was completed, he was taken back there on Tuesday.
