Since May 2024, a cleaning lady has allegedly stolen money and other valuables from several households. The damage amounts to tens of thousands of euros. Now she was caught red-handed.
The 51-year-old from Kosovo worked as a cleaner in various households in the Graz region. Time and again, she apparently indulged her criminal nature and cash, jewelry and gold coins were stolen. On July 8, she was caught breaking into a cash register in Fernitz-Mellach and eventually arrested.
Tens of thousands of euros in damage
According to police investigations, the woman may have offered the stolen valuables for sale to gold buyers in Graz. The damage amounts to tens of thousands of euros.
Such sales by the suspect were already registered by the buyers in November 2023. In this way, jewelry was seized that could not yet be attributed to a victim or crime scene. The suspect is now in the prison of Graz-Jakomini.
