Comedian, author and expert on human nature Stefan Vogel answers questions that others don’t even dare to ask. This time he doesn’t ask, but wishes for something: more peace!
Maybe it’s different in your house, but in my neighborhood it works like this: At six in the morning the garbage collector picks up the garbage, reversing and beeping. From half past six my neighbors happily start their high-horsepower cars to drive to work. At eight o’clock the first pensioner starts sawing wood. In good weather the leaf blowers start at nine o’clock and after lunch at the latest the combined lawn mowers join in the village concert. Noise pollution caused by loud music, completely different from before, is no longer an issue, but is drowned out by the rest of the noise. I don’t even want to go into construction site noise here, because firstly it is unavoidable and secondly local and temporary.
