A four-year-old boy survived a seven-metre fall from a balcony onto a gravel path in Feldkirch early on Friday evening with minor injuries.
The child opened the balcony door in an unnoticed moment, went outside, climbed over the parapet and fell, the police warned. A witness provided first aid until the emergency services arrived. After initial treatment, the boy was taken to the Feldkirch State Hospital.
Boy only slightly injured
The accident happened around 5:00 p.m. in an apartment building; according to initial hospital examinations, the four-year-old may have been very lucky: miraculously, he apparently only suffered minor injuries.
