Paul Pizzera and Otto Jaus want to “party like the Pope” next weekend at the first festival “Airfield Sounds” in Burgenland. Krone+ spoke to the pop duo about emotional backpacks, failed relationships, fatherly duties and their therapy sessions. PLUS: Win 50 x 2 concert tickets!
“Crown”: On August 3 and 4, the first festival “Airfield Sounds” will take place at the old airfield in Trausdorf, where Pope John Paul II held a mass in 1988. Marco Pogo will be there with turbo beer – and so will you. Why did you agree?
Paul Pizzara: The request just sounded cool! Even in the summer when the weather is mild, we love to inspire people. An airport where my namesake from Poland has already kissed the ground can only be a good omen for us. We will also kiss the Burgenland soil. This gesture is part of the sound check and is mandatory as a meet & greet. The Burgenlanders are closer to me than any god!
