A serious accident took place in Mexico early Tuesday morning: a coach fell from a bridge on a highway. Twelve people were killed and dozens of others were injured.
The tragedy took place near Chacaltianguis. The vehicle was traveling from the state of Chiuapas to Mexico City when it drove through the bridge barrier and crashed into a pillar. As seen in photos on social media, the carriage ended up in a body of water after falling from the bridge.
Minors among the fatalities
According to local media, it would be a double-decker bus. After the accident, many people were trapped in the wreckage. Authorities have now confirmed twelve deaths and dozens more injuries. There are also believed to be children among the deceased. The driver also did not survive the accident.
