Several members of the Ukrainian army were injured in a serious road accident in Latvia last weekend. According to official information, they were on a bus chartered by the Estonian army that collided head-on with a truck on Saturday night near Ainazi in the north near the Estonian border.
The Estonian driver of the bus was killed in the accident. Three people were hospitalized in serious condition, 23 people suffered minor injuries, the Latvian ambulance service said.
The cause of the accident is still unclear
According to the Estonian army, an Estonian soldier is among the injured. The other injured bus passengers are Ukrainian troops, the armed forces in Tallinn said on Sunday evening.
