Terrible traffic accident on Friday in the Tyrolean lowlands: After an 81-year-old driver drove onto the B171 highway in Kundl (Kufstein district), a collision occurred with a German car. The latter and the pensioner’s passenger were seriously injured.
The accident happened late in the morning. The 81-year-old resident had driven his car onto the Tyrolean federal road in Kundl.
“A collision occurred with the car of the 75-year-old German, who was driving on the B171,” the police reported.
The force of the impact seriously injured the German and the 78-year-old passenger of the Austrian. “They were taken by ambulance to Kufstein Hospital,” the investigators said.
The two cars were badly damaged. The Kundl fire brigade, rescue service and police were present.
