The Israeli military has acknowledged the attack and assured that it was an operation “targeted precisely against Hamas terrorists operating inside the school.” Since October 2023, nearly 40,000 people have been killed by the Israeli offensive on Palestine.
More than a hundred people were killed and dozens injured When the Israeli army bombed a school in Gaza City, in the northern Gaza Strip, that was serving as a refuge for displaced people at dawn on Saturday, there were calls for war, the Islamist group Hamas, which controls the Palestinian enclave, said.
Images of bodies destroyed in the rubble, apparently after the bombing of the school, circulated on the networks. Numerous civilians appear collecting bodies using blankets instead of stretchers.
“Many of the bodies are mutilated and burnt remains. There are still large amounts of body parts and dismembered corpses in Al Ahly Arab Hospital that have not been identified,” the Civil Defence said.
The Israeli army has acknowledged the attack and assured that it was an operation “with precision” led by its intelligence services against “Hamas terrorists operating within a command and control center integrated into the Al Tabaín school.”
The Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry has not updated the total number of casualties in the war since last Thursday, when it counted 39,699 dead and 91,722 injuredespecially children and women.
To this are added 10,000 missing under the rubble and 1.9 million displaced who are surviving in an unprecedented humanitarian crisis due to widespread destruction, the collapse of hospitals, epidemic outbreaks, the threat of famine and shortages of drinking water, food and medicine.
