A drunk Slovenian caused an e-scooter accident in Salzburg on Sunday afternoon. As the Salzburg State Police announced, a breathalyzer test for the 28-year-old showed a blood alcohol level of 2.42.
According to witnesses, he collided with a curb after losing control of his vehicle on a bicycle path. After being treated by the Red Cross, he was taken to a trauma hospital.
The man, who was traveling without a helmet and wearing light summer clothing, suffered injuries of unknown nature. The police prohibited him from continuing his journey and informed him that he intended to file an administrative criminal complaint with the responsible authorities. The alcohol limit for e-scooters in Austria is 0.8 per mille, the same as for bicycles.
