A man from Villach threatened to kill his neighbor (65) on Monday evening – and shots were fired.
Shortly before 1:00 a.m., the 65-year-old from Villach alerted the police because his neighbor had allegedly threatened to kill him. The man who lives in the apartment below the 65-year-old is said to have supported this threat with a shot.
A short time later, the police and EKO Cobra arrived at the apartment building – at the request of the officers, the suspect came out of the apartment and was arrested.
He initially denied even owning a firearm, but then admitted to having an empty pistol and ammunition in his car, where his partner (37) hid the weapon.
Three children in an apartment
During the entire incident, there were also three minor children in the suspect’s apartment: “But they didn’t notice anything,” a police officer told the Krone.
Neither the suspect nor his partner could be questioned until Monday morning due to their heavy intoxication. After the arrest, the suspect was transferred to the Villach police detention center.
No one was injured.
