A woman was shot dead by police in a Munich supermarket on Monday night after she had attacked officers with a knife (see video above).
Police were alerted to an assault at another location. The woman who informed the officers followed the suspect to a supermarket in the Sendling district. The police found her there shortly afterwards.
When the suspect saw the emergency services, she attacked them with a knife. The police then used their weapon. Initially, it was not reported who fired the shots and how many shots were fired. There was no further information about the death or the physical injuries.
The supermarket and the street in front of it were temporarily closed for forensic investigation.
