Serious traffic accident Tuesday morning in Ilz, East Styria: A 14-year-old teenager was seriously injured in a collision between two cars. Two other people were slightly injured.
At around 8:00 a.m., a 42-year-old from the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district was driving her car on the B 65 coming from Ilz towards Nestelbach and wanted to turn left at the intersection with the municipal road to Mutzenfeld.
Son trapped in car
She may have overlooked the oncoming car of a 19-year-old, also from the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district. When the two vehicles collided, the driver’s 14-year-old son was trapped in the vehicle.
He had to be flown to the LKH Graz by the crew of the C16 rescue helicopter with life-threatening injuries. The two drivers had to be taken to hospitals in Graz and Feldbach with minor injuries.
