In Schwechat (Lower Austria), a breeze slammed a kitchen door shut, trapping an amateur chef in the attic apartment. Since he didn’t have a mobile phone with him, the man had to call out of the window for help. The result was a sensational operation.
Small accident with big consequences: when a man wanted to cook dinner in his girlfriend’s apartment in Schwechat, a soft breeze slammed the kitchen door. When I tried to open it, the door handle broke off – the amateur chef was stuck.
The detainee did not have a mobile phone with him
Without a mobile phone, the connoisseur had no choice but to call for help through the open window in the attic. It was not until an hour and a half later that local guests in a nearby bar noticed the man and called 911. Since the trapped man did not know the exact address, his comrades arrived with the turntable ladder.
Police officers then climbed into the apartment from the telescopic platform and were able to open the kitchen door. The operation report states: “The evening meal could thus be prepared and eaten by the liberated occupant…”
