Attack – (fake) taxi at national youth festival turned into a trap

Date:

Did a taxi driver take advantage of an opportunity or did a fake taxi driver set a trap for an inexperienced victim? Many questions remain unanswered after an attack at the national youth festival in Fornach. Now the police are hoping for information from witnesses or victims.

There is certainly more than one scam behind it, but the police rarely keep quiet about why they are looking for a suspected fake taxi a month after the district youth festival in Fornach (Vöcklabruck district).

Research tactics
The light station wagon was said to have a yellow taxi sign mounted on it and the driver was said to have made several “trips” from the festival that took place on the night of July 28. According to reports, there was a mass attack on a passenger. The executive branch and the judiciary did not want to release any further details for “investigative reasons”. The suspected fake taxi, equipped with a Vöcklabruck license plate but without company or advertising stickers, was either intended as a trap or the driver had shamelessly exploited an “opportunity”.

Looking for witnesses
In any case, the police are now looking for passengers who took a taxi to the festival or got in there. Anyone who took a photo should also contact the St. Georgen/Attergau police (tel. 059133 4175 100) – tips are also accepted anonymously.
