A family of ducks crossing the street in St. Veit caused a pile-up.
An 81-year-old driver from St. Veit stopped his car because he gave way to ducks crossing the Sörger federal road in the town of St. Veit. A driver (37) who came from behind him also stopped her car.
However, a 22-year-old from Liebenfels was unable to stop the car in time and collided with the vehicle of the 37-year-old from St. Veiter, causing him to be catapulted into the car in front.
The 37-year-old and her 48-year-old passenger suffered unknown injuries and were taken by ambulance to Klagenfurt hospital. The other two drivers were unharmed. There was considerable damage to the vehicles.
