Fire alarm on Saturday morning in an apartment building in Hall in Tirol! A neighbor noticed heavy smoke behind a closed apartment and raised the alarm. The fire brigade eventually found an unconscious man (43) and rescued him outside.

Shortly before 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, sirens blared in Hall in Tirol. “For unknown reasons, there was heavy smoke or fire in the living room of an apartment in an apartment building,” police said.

Neighbors have warned residents and the fire department
A resident who saw smoke coming from the closed apartment broke down the apartment door. Due to the heavy smoke, he and his son left the building and warned the neighbors in the apartment building and the fire department in advance.

Seriously injured person taken to clinic
The Florianijüngers eventually searched the heavily smoke-filled apartment wearing heavy respiratory protection and found a 43-year-old Austrian unconscious in the living room. “The seriously injured man was taken to the clinic in Innsbruck after initial treatment,” the investigators said.

The cause of the fire is still unclear
A mattress found in the living room was identified as the source of the fire. “The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is the subject of a police investigation,” the board emphasizes.
