A 65-year-old rioted in a dormitory in Vienna-Josefstadt on Saturday afternoon, smashing the glass of a door, shouting National Socialist slogans and then kicking a police officer.
The man defended himself against his arrest with kicks, but did not injure any officers. According to police spokeswoman Julia Schick, multiple complaints were filed against the Ukrainian citizen, including for resisting state authority.
Officers from the Josefstadt city police command were alerted to the Blindengasse at around 4:30 p.m. When they arrived, the glass was already broken. The 65-year-old ran through the hallway of the house, shouting. Several requests to stop were unsuccessful. During the arrest, the man wanted to kick the uniformed men and shouted National Socialist slogans, which he continued to do later during his detention.
