A serious industrial accident occurred in the municipality of Bizau in the Bregenzerwald on Saturday afternoon, in which a 28-year-old man was seriously injured.
The young resident of Bregenzerwald had spent the afternoon working on his house. Using a table saw, he cut, among other things, sealing panels for the insulation of his facade.
In a moment of inattention, his left hand became entangled in the rotating saw blade. With fatal consequences: the saw blade cut deeply into the heel of the hand and left a gaping wound. After a Red Cross paramedic had given him first aid at the scene of the accident, the seriously injured man was flown to the Feldkirch State Hospital by the rescue helicopter “Christophorus 8”.
