US presidential candidate Donald Trump says he has reached an agreement for a televised duel with Kamala Harris on September 10. This TV debate will be held on ABC – which according to the Republican is “by far the dirtiest and most dishonest” news channel.
The same rules as the CNN duel on June 27 should apply, Trump explained on his Truth Social platform. At the time, a duel between Trump and President Joe Biden took place without a studio audience and with the microphone muted for the participant who was not speaking.
Trump called ABC “by far the dirtiest and most dishonest” news network in the business. However, the network assured him that the game in Philadelphia would be “fair and just.”
Here you can see Trump’s post:
Harris declined a Sept. 4 duel on right-wing Fox News, Trump wrote, but she wanted to keep the day free in case she changed her mind.
ABC News announced about three weeks ago that Trump and Harris would face off on the network on September 10. Both the Republican and Democrat had confirmed their participation by that date, the network announced at the time.
Only date for TV duel before the elections
It is the only televised debate so far ahead of the November 5 election between the vice president and the former president. However, there was a recent dispute between the Harris and Trump campaigns over the rules of the debate.
