Prostate and testicular cancer – sex is still possible, even after tumor surgery!

Date:

Prostate and testicular tumors are among the most common types of cancer in men. When life is initially at risk, most patients think of therapy and cure. But other concerns soon arise, such as those related to erectile function after surgery. What options are there.

There is a fear of not having an erection or being infertile. These concerns are not unfounded, as Univ.-Prof. Dr. Harun Fajkovic, MSc of the University Clinic of Urology of MedUni and the Vienna General Hospital admits: “After surgical removal of the prostate, erectile dysfunction may occur or existing erectile dysfunction may worsen, depending on whether nerve-sparing surgery is possible or not, etc. It can even lead to complete impotence.”
