Two German boys were buried in the sand while playing in Denmark and died. According to the police, the nine-year-old and the twelve-year-old may have dug some kind of cave in the dunes, which may have caused a landslide.
There had been heavy rain recently. Therefore, there could be an increased risk of such landslides on the coasts, according to the police. The accident took place on Sunday in Nørre Vorupør in northern Denmark. The boys’ parents were at the scene when the incident occurred.
