What a joke! A chicken in Ohlsdorf (Upper Austria) had to be rescued by firefighters after it got stuck between two fences. How the chicken got into this predicament is unclear. In any case, while she waited, she laid an egg.
At 4:50 p.m., a silent alarm was sent to the Ohlsdorf firefighters’ mobile phones via an app. “Small animal rescue – a chicken is stuck between two fences,” was the warning text received by the Ohlsdorf volunteer fire department

The firefighters themselves report: “Because this mission was rather amusing, two vehicles with a cheerful team went to the scene at the Binderweg. There was even a chicken trapped.”
It immediately disappeared into the stable
Presumably the chicken tried to fly or escape and ended up between the fences. The fence was carefully removed and the chicken was released. You could see the shock in the chicken as it immediately disappeared into the coop. Where it was stuck, the emergency services even found an egg that the chicken had laid.
Such animal rescue missions are not so rare. Every now and then the fire brigade has to go out, for example to rescue deer from pools.
