The force of the impact must have been terrible: in a head-on accident on the B309 near Hargelsberg (Upper Austria), the two cars involved were thrown 70 metres apart.
On Wednesday at 21:30, a 77-year-old from Steyr was driving his car on the B 309, municipality of Hargelsberg, coming from the direction of Enns towards Steyr. At the same time, a 35-year-old Romanian from Asten was driving a company car from the opposite direction. For unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided head-on.
Powerful collision
The massive impact caused the vehicles to stop about 70 meters away. Following vehicles helped the injured out of the vehicles. After initial treatment, the drivers were taken to a hospital in Linz.
