The emergency services in Mariapfarr were alerted on Thursday around 19:30. An accident had just occurred on the Lungauer Landesstraße. In a bend, an 18-year-old lost control of his car after accelerating and skidding. He crossed into the oncoming lane and crashed into the car of a 27-year-old.
Flew to Klagenfurt
Behind the woman, a 20-year-old truck driver was also unable to brake in time and also collided with the skidding car. The three drivers and the 18-year-old’s passenger sustained undetermined injuries in the incident. The truck driver was flown by helicopter to Klagenfurt hospital; the highway was closed for two and a half hours while the clean-up work took place.
