An attempted car theft of a 47-year-old Pole in Innsbruck went badly on Saturday night. The man is suspected of having smashed the window of a car with stones and having tried to steal the vehicle.
The man is believed to have tried to smash the two front side windows of a car with a stone in Innsbruck around 1:00 AM. However, the alleged perpetrator probably did not do this.
Without further ado, he looked for a new target and struck the rock against the left front window of the vehicle parked next to it. “He then got into the car, released the handbrake, causing the vehicle to roll backwards out of the parking space onto the road,” police said.
However, that would be his last action of the evening. Shortly afterwards, the 47-year-old was arrested by the police.
