Trial in Feldkirch – Small children terrified

Date:

A 41-year-old early retiree from Dornbirn had to answer to the regional court in Feldkirch on Friday for a murderous gesture towards children.

Four playing children – the youngest child only four years old, the oldest twelve – experienced a truly shocking moment in the courtyard of a housing complex in Dornbirn in mid-June: as if out of nowhere, the defendant suddenly tore open the balcony door and began the exuberant game. The quartet came to an abrupt end with a murderous gesture.

The great silence
When the shocked girls reported the incident to their parents, they filed a report with the police. When they investigate, the officers find the early retiree, who was very drunk, in his apartment. Because he could not be questioned due to his condition, he was called to the post to testify. But there too he did not say a word.

That was not the case in court on Thursday either, where the 41-year-old seemed quite surprised when Judge Lisa Pfeifer confronted him with the allegations: “Hi, strange,” he said, again refusing to provide further information about the case.

His argument: “I don’t even know the names of the children. Maybe it wasn’t my fault at all.” In addition, there is always a coming and going in the apartment building: “You don’t know your way around your own house anymore. But if the accusations against me are true, then I am sorry and I apologize.”

Because he didn’t know what he was doing
Due to the early retiree’s alcohol problem, Mrs Rat assumes in case of doubt that the man did not really want to threaten the children with his behavior and therefore acquits him. The verdict is not final.
