At 23:55 the professional fire brigade of Klagenfurt and the volunteer fire brigade of Haidach raised the alarm: a fire was clearly visible in a forest on Pulverturmstrasse in Klagenfurt, near the headquarters of the city garden. “The fire brigade was able to identify a wooden hut as the source of the fire,” the police reported.
“With the help of respiratory protection, we were able to successfully extinguish the fire with the volunteer fire brigade,” explains the BFW Klagenfurt. “Two C-pipes were used.” Why the hut was destroyed by flames and how much material damage was caused exactly remains to be clarified.
Fire alarm in the hardware store
And more than two hours earlier, the BFW Klagenfurt was on duty in a hardware store. “The fire alarm went off,” the police reported. “During the inspection, it was discovered that a scorching fire had probably started in a packaged pool robot due to a defect.”
The professional fire brigade then flooded the pool robot – a necessary measure in the event of a fire involving devices with a built-in battery, as such fires can occur again and again.
