On August 24, a strange incident occurred on a Chinese Juneyao Airlines flight from Guiyang to Shanghai. Two irritated passengers locked a strange child in an airplane toilet. No charges are expected to be filed – the grandparents saw it as an “educational measure.”
What happened: A little girl was on her way to Shanghai with her grandmother. Suddenly it roared ‘shrill’ and did not stop despite attention.
Passengers were so irritated that they put tissues in their ears. Two passengers then lost their patience: they took the child from the grandfather and took him to one of the rear toilets of the plane.
“We’re not letting you out if you don’t stop crying.”
A video shows the screaming child sitting in the toilet, which is locked from the inside, as one of the women says: “If you stop crying, I will take you back to grandma.” And then: “We won’t allow that.” If you don’t stop crying, you will get out.” Chinese authorities have since removed the video.
Grandparents have permission
Juneyao Airlines confirmed the incident a few days later. Accordingly, the child’s grandparents gave permission to the two women to take the child to the toilet to “educate” him.
The girl’s mother, who was not on the flight, is also said to have shown understanding for the behavior of the two women. To date, the airport security office has not filed any charges.
