Since Monday, Austrians can look forward to at least 195 euros more in their accounts. The payments are due to be completed this week, but the distribution of zones and tariffs worries many of the affected compatriots. In theory, this would be super fair, but in practice, things sometimes go quite badly. Krone+ shows this using the example of Upper Austria.
If you look at your account this week, you shouldn’t be surprised if you suddenly have more money than before. Because the climate bonus has been paid out since Monday. Every adult in Upper Austria can look forward to at least 195 euros. As in previous years, the contribution will be transferred automatically. All people who have registered their main residence in Austria for at least 183 days this year are entitled to the bonus. If the place of residence changes within the calendar year, the place of residence where the person concerned was registered for the majority of the calendar days applies. Anyone who has not been in Austria for very long will not receive the amount until next spring in a second payment wave.
