Strange operation Wednesday evening in Kirchbichl (Kufstein district) in Tyrol! A motorist probably ignored the standing water in a railway underpass and got stuck in the middle. He waited on the roof of his car before the fire brigade could rescue him. It was not the first incident of this kind.
Once again, a driver wanted to drive through the flooded railway underpass on Langkampfner Straße in Kirchbichl. Once again, the fire brigade had to be called out to rescue the vehicle from the water.
Difficult to use
The latest case occurred on Wednesday evening. There, an attempt by a young driver to pass through the underpass went wrong. Around 20:25, the Kirchbichl fire brigade went out to free the driver and the car from the unfortunate situation.
Fortunately, the driver was unharmed and waited patiently on the roof of the car until rescuers could save him.
Second incident within days
Oddly enough, it was not the first such operation for the fire brigade. On Monday evening shortly after 23:00, the Florianijüngers went out to rescue a car and its driver from the flooded underpass. Even then, the driver of the vehicle had underestimated the water level due to the local rain showers.
