In the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, a man armed with a gun stormed a police station on Friday night and threatened to kill the police officers. Special forces used a Taser and were able to overpower the 29-year-old.
The man of Albanian origin entered the police station in Linz am Rhein at around 2:40 a.m. Because he threatened to kill police officers, the lock area was closed on both sides so that the 29-year-old could not escape.
After the Taser was used, the man was overpowered and arrested by SEK troops. He suffered minor injuries. Police said that no information could be provided at this time about the background of the incident; an investigation was ongoing.
