Tragic traffic accident in Lower Austria: A 75-year-old woman was run over by a tractor with a trailer in the municipality of Obritzberg-Rust (St. Pölten-Land district) on Saturday morning. She died of her injuries in hospital a short time later.
The woman was cycling on a dirt road. When a tractor with a trailer, driven by a 48-year-old, came towards you, the 75-year-old got off her bike at an intersection and tried to walk past the tractor, the police report.
She was hit by the trailer and rolled over. According to police, the tractor was moving at walking pace. The 75-year-old was taken to hospital by ambulance, where she died from her injuries.
