Five men and a vehicle with a grabber had to carry out a special operation in the Lungau Thomatal (Salzburg) on Friday morning: a falling boulder had seriously damaged a house wall and a roof. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The fire brigade of Thomatal had to be deployed in the morning hours of Friday. The volunteer technical task force of Floriani was in particular demand. A boulder of about 300 kilograms came loose above a residential building and fell on the building.
Both the house wall and the roof were damaged. The emergency services of the Thomatal fire brigade removed the stone with a grabber. The damaged house wall and roof were then temporarily sealed to prevent further damage.
