Good luck with the parallel deployment of the Reutte water rescue service on the Plansee in Tyrol: While searching for a dinghy, the water rescue service discovered a motorcyclist (17) who had fallen into the lake.
During an alert by the Reutte police on Friday afternoon, emergency services were searching for a dinghy with children on board when a motorcyclist on Plansee Landesstrasse at the “Bootshausstraight” level near Hotel Forelle fell into the lake with his motorcycle.
The emergency boat was there
The Reutte water rescue troops and a plainclothes police officer riding with them rescued the motorcyclist, who was momentarily unconscious, from the water. “Coincidentally, the fall at the same height was our search,” reports one of the rescuers.
The children were also found safe and sound. The motorcycle has been removed from the water.
Health issues
According to police, the person was a 17-year-old from Germany. At a bend, the young man drove straight into the Plansee, apparently for health reasons. It was revealed to two motorcyclists following that the 17-year-old had a cramp on his motorcycle and was therefore unable to turn a corner, the report said.
head under water
The driver hit his head in the water and was pulled out of the water by two rescuers. The 17-year-old was unconscious for a minute or two. After first aid, the victim was taken by ambulance to the clinic in Murnau (D). The engine was recovered from the lake by the water rescue service and the fire brigade. A total of eight rescuers from water rescue and rescue services, 18 volunteer firefighters and four police officers were deployed.
