At least 24 people have been killed this weekend in landslides and flooding caused by Typhoon Yagi in northern Vietnam, according to official figures.
The government said another 299 people were injured.
The typhoon, considered Asia’s strongest storm this year, hit the country’s northeastern coast on Saturday, causing severe destruction.

The regions of Quang Ninh and Haiphong were particularly affected, with electricity and telecommunications services failing. Authorities warned of further flooding and landslides.
The massive storm had previously hit the Philippines and China, claiming several lives.
