“We are racing into climate hell”, with these words, the climate stickers once again drew attention to the climate crisis in Vienna’s inner city on Wednesday morning. A small group of the last generation glued themselves in front of Parliament and set up “negotiating tables”.
This time they did not stay on the street in the morning traffic as usual, but set up tables in front of the parliament in Vienna to invite the government for a round of discussion. A few minutes later, the police were already on the scene to interrupt the unannounced action.
“Offer for talks with the government”
“We reaffirm our offer to talk to the government! Today we have set up the negotiating table in front of parliament and eagerly await a sign from Nehammer,” the last generation said on Twitter.
Again they demanded a speed limit of 100 km/h on the Autobahn and a halt to all new oil and gas drilling in Austria.
Last week, activists of the last generation ended their three-week wave of actions in Vienna, wreaking havoc in Vienna’s early morning traffic. The last generation spoke of their biggest move yet.
