In the fatal accident with the ghost driver on Saturday evening on the A1 near Vorchdorf, the driver was probably drunk. At least that is what the first report, which is available to the Wels public prosecutor’s office, states. An investigation into murder by gross negligence is ongoing. A 19-year-old died.
The 47-year-old was still conscious when rescuers arrived at the scene of the accident on the western highway near Vorchdorf. According to the Wels prosecutor’s office, the Wartberger was guzzling heavily at the scene of the accident and also admitted to the police that he had consumed alcohol.
However, the Kirchdorfer was injured too badly to be tested for alcohol. Therefore, his blood was taken at the hospital. The result is still pending.
19 year old had no chance
